Ponzi Vineyards - Current Branding
As the in house designer at Ponzi Vineyards I was tasked with taking cues from an initial brand redesign that included just a few brand deliverables and expanding this to apply to our entire suite of materials including labels, print collateral and digital assets. These new assets needed to communicate high end luxury while also being grounded in nature through an ethos of elemental artistry.
Ponzi Vineyards - Previous Branding
When I was initially hired as the graphic designer for Ponzi Vineyards they were an innovative winemaker crafting high end wines but their branding was over a decade old and beginning to feel dated. At the time the company was not ready for a full redesign so my task was to work within a visual realm that would mesh with the existing brand assets but push the aesthetic towards something a bit more fresh and sophisticated.
Bridgeport Brewing - Packaging
When these labels were created Bridgeport Brewing was an established mid sized craft brewing company that was losing market share and cultural relevance to newer, more daring and exciting brands. Part and partial to this was the fact that the branding of the company was beginning to look a bit stale and unremarkable on crowded shelves full of more bold and contemporary design choices. The goal with these labels was to inject some energy into their packaging with dynamic hand drawn illustration and typography.
Heaven Skate - Logo and merch
Heaven Skate is a local Portland band that is a fixture of the DIY scene. Their music is wide ranging in style and genre but always brings an infectious energy. This logo is a take on the Peavey logo, a music gear brand that is a reliable and affordable cult classic for working class musicians. Other elements of the brands visual identity reinforce this underground ethos and the eccentric vibe of the music.
